The Sanskrit word for intention is “Sankulpa” which generally means a heartfelt desire, a vow or resolution to act.  Intentions, are very simply, what we want to foster or cultivate as part of our life.  Intentions are different than goals or resolutions that you try to achieve and then check off your list.  Intentions are more like how you want to continuously feel in your life and in what direction you want to move forward in your life.  Examples of some simple intentions may be: Fostering meaningful connections with my family and close friends (relationship intention) Starting my own business or working as an interior designer (work intention) Earning a master’s degree (personal growth intention) Paying off credit card debt and saving for a house (financial intentions Intentions are powerful only if we continue to pay attention to them and seek to cultivate them each day.  When you set an intention, you put your focus and energy into making it happen.  It is a like planting a seed in a garden.  When you plant a seed for a flower, you don’t know exactly how the flower will grow.  You don’t dig the seed up every day to see how it is doing. ...
